ANNIE JOY BOOTHROYD

When walking around a city I find it difficult not to notice the impact of motorways and the rapid increase of monolithic structures. I see walking as a meditation, a rhythm that allows the mind and body to experience the landscape fully. Something that we need in this technologically driven age and walking is becoming an act that is under threat. The city is full of dead-ends, magnetic currents, and areas that are on the Edgeland. I want to capture these interactive zones, to find poetry out of the commonplace.
