Annie Joy Boothroyd is a commercial and fine art Photographer with a extensive portfolio spanning fashion, portraits, products and events. Recent clients include Ciccarelli, The Morph Bag, Kanani Shoes, Kitty Arden and Ekmekcy. Further, Annie has directed editorial fashion shoots involving models, influencers and stylists.
In parallel to Annie's commercial work is a fine art practice. Her photographs work as an ongoing narrative, searching for something beyond the mere representations of place – to be looking for what defines it, how we understand the places which we inhabit, their capacity to reflect our human disposition and therefore searching for a deeper topography.
Boothroyd examines her environment, reflecting on its ability to appear otherworldly when seen through a gaze that is attracted to the absurd. Interested in the spaces that we traverse and navigate without thinking, she has the ability pause and recognise microcosms of uninterrupted existence.
